SeaTac Resident Records Compared
A one-person search works best as an evidence ladder. Start with the least sensitive official record that can answer the question. Keep the source date and the role it proves. A taxpayer is not always an occupant, a court party need not live in SeaTac, and a business filing may point to an office or agent rather than a home.
| Record | What It Confirms | Where | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Property roll | Parcel, site address, owner or taxpayer label, legal description | King County eReal | Free online search |
| Voter record | Registration jurisdiction, status, statutory public fields | VoteWA or SOS extract | Lookup or restricted-use request |
| Court index | Party, case number, filing date, case type, events | SeaTac, KCDC, Superior, or statewide route | Online index, terminal, or clerk request |
| Vital record | A birth, death, marriage, or divorce event | Washington DOH or Digital Archives | Eligibility and fee depend on record |
| License or entity | Public credential or organization affiliation | DOL, L&I, or SOS | Free public lookup |
| City proceeding | A public civic role, statement, petition, or notice | SeaTac City Clerk | Posted file or PRA request |
Choose by purpose. For a parcel question, begin with eReal. For civic participation, check city packets. For a family event, use the proper vital or historical index. A resident lookup should not merge all hits into a broad profile.
Anchor a SeaTac Name to Place
Begin with the exact name and one dated place. Normalize initials, hyphens, apostrophes, and alternate spellings. If the address is known, use the King County eReal Property search to identify the parcel, site address, and owner or taxpayer label. Keep “Site Address” apart from the tax mailing address. Neither field alone proves who lives there.
- Write the supplied name and address exactly, with the date associated with them.
- Check eReal by address, parcel, condo or apartment name, or owner and tax account.
- Use only a lawful minimum from voter or city records to test jurisdiction and timing.
- Search the correct court only when a case record is relevant, then match case number and filing date.
- Record what each source confirms and stop when two independent facts resolve the question.
Open the county's official property-information route before using eReal.

The county page places the assessor tools in their official context and helps prevent a taxpayer label from being mistaken for a current occupant.
Confirm SeaTac Voter Jurisdiction Carefully
Washington law makes a defined set of voter fields public. Under RCW 29A.08.710, those fields include name, address, political jurisdiction, gender, birth year, voting record, registration date, and registration number. Full date of birth, Social Security number, driver-license information, and the original form are protected. Current lists also carry restrictions on advertising and solicitations.
VoteWA provides the public registration lookup entry point.

The captured landing view identifies the official source, though the live result fields were not stable during research and should not be promised beyond the statute.
The SOS database extract is updated monthly and normally delivered within five business days after a requester supplies contact details, chooses a file, and agrees to the terms. Inactive status is not proof that someone left SeaTac. A missing result may reflect another jurisdiction, a spelling issue, canceled status, or address protection.
Note: Registration proves an election record and jurisdiction at a point in time, not uninterrupted residence or ownership.
Search SeaTac Courts by Venue
Court choice matters. SeaTac Municipal Court handles city misdemeanors, gross misdemeanors, and infractions. King County District Court covers filed civil, infraction, and criminal matters within its jurisdiction. Superior Court owns felony, family, probate, and other superior matters. The Washington Courts name and case search is a daily-updated pointer, not the official case file.
| Search inputs | Case number, last and first name, optional date of birth, company, or filing dates, depending on court. |
|---|---|
| Result fields | Case number, case name, filing date, case type, next event, and previous event. |
| Not shown | KCDC omits public addresses, phone numbers, and full birth dates. |
| Official file | The court of record, not the statewide pointer or a cached result. |
View the King County Superior Court search entry point.

The entry screen shows the proper county route; any index result still needs confirmation from the clerk.
- Docket
- The court's chronological list of filings and events in a case.
- Index versus image
- An index describes a record; an image shows the filed document and may have different access rules.
- Certified copy
- A copy authenticated by the custodian for uses that require official proof.
Request SeaTac Resident Court Files
A portal miss does not end a court search. KCDC public terminals are available at county courthouses on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and requests may be sent with the court form to kcdc.webmaster@kingcounty.gov. Many documents are limited to parties, authorized users, or token access even when the docket index is public.
The King County District Court eCourt portal is the official online index.

The captured entry page marks the proper venue for district cases; public terminals and clerk requests remain available when the web index is not enough.
For SeaTac Municipal Court records, provide a case number or the minimum identity pair requested by the court: defendant name with date of birth, or name with Washington driver license information. A violation date and type can help. Mail or fax requests need a stamped, self-addressed envelope. Off-site files may take longer, and the current page lists $20 for a recording on CD.
Municipal Court keeps its own records. Do not send that request through the city's ordinary public-records portal. The court withholds private identifiers, certain juvenile and non-conviction material, unserved-warrant affidavits, and treatment or evaluation reports. A case index proves a filing event, not guilt and not SeaTac residence.
Confirm SeaTac Family Events Lawfully
Washington Department of Health issues current vital certificates. Its ordering page covers online, mail, and local-health routes. Birth holdings begin July 1, 1907, and marriage and divorce certificates run from 1968 forward. The base certificate fee is $25; online orders start near $40.50 with listed service fees and generally take three to seven business days. Mail can take six to eight weeks.
Review the official Washington vital-record order channels.

The state page distinguishes order methods, which matters because a search fee does not guarantee that a record will be found.
Certified birth and death copies require a qualified relationship or authority plus identity and proof documents. Marriage and divorce certificates are generally open to requesters, though very recent records may remain with the county auditor or Superior Court clerk. For historical work, the King County marriage collection begins in 1855 with changing index and image coverage. A vital event may include a residence at that date, but it is not a current-address source.
Check SeaTac Civic Records
A person known through public civic work may appear in council packets, minutes, ordinances, resolutions, notices, permits, or advisory-board records. The SeaTac City Clerk is the first stop. Posted files can be searched directly; unposted city records can be requested through the City Records Management Office.
The city accepts requests through its online portal, in person at City Hall, or by letter, email, fax, and phone. Give contact details, a clear description, and a date range. Under the Washington Public Records Act, the city responds within five business days by producing records, acknowledging the request, estimating more time, or explaining the next step. Court files, collision reports, and some fire records route elsewhere.
Older identity terms are useful here. SeaTac was established in 1990. For earlier public activity, test Highline, Angle Lake, Bow Lake, McMicken Heights, Riverton Heights, and Sunnydale. Committee records can identify public voices without exposing a private household roll.
Verify SeaTac Public Affiliations
A professional license or organization filing can corroborate a public role without proving a home address. The Washington Department of Licensing lookup searches name, license number, type, and location, with issued, active, and expiration status where available. Some professions do not show a street address. L&I verification adds contractor and trade status controls.
The SOS Corporations and Charities Filing System searches businesses by name or UBI. Charity and trademark routes use their own identifiers and match choices. A registered agent can be an attorney or service company, a principal office can be a mail point, and a license location can be a work site. None alone shows that a person lives in SeaTac.
Match the exact legal name, UBI or license number, status, and filing date. Then compare a city permit or public proceeding only when the names and dates align. Label the conclusion as a public affiliation, not as residence.
Note: Current status fields should be checked live because licenses and entity filings can change after a search is saved.
Respect SeaTac Resident Lookup Limits
Washington's Address Confidentiality Program is the key safety boundary. Under chapter 40.24 RCW, eligible survivors and protected groups can use a substitute address and mail forwarding. Their actual residence, city, county, and precinct are confidential. Never use a voter or city record to reverse-engineer an ACP participant's location. Program questions belong with the Secretary of State ACP.
The Washington PRA favors disclosure but keeps record-specific exemptions and redaction. RCW 42.56.080 also restricts some uses of lists of individuals. There is no confirmed universal state opt-out that removes a person from every official or commercial directory. Corrections must go to the custodian, while a safety concern about reproduced material should identify the exact record and applicable protection.
Lawful personal use. A SeaTac resident lookup must not be used to stalk, threaten, doxx, impersonate, contact, or harm anyone.
False matches are common. Preserve the query, source date, exact label, and unresolved alternatives. A “not found” result is better than a guessed identity. Once two independent public records answer the narrow question, stop collecting more personal data.
